Delta Community Credit Union established on March 8, 1940. It was started by the eight members of Delta Airline Employees with just $45. They started as a not-for-profit cooperative and wanted to help their employees achieve financial success.

Eligibility to become a member of DCCU
- One who is living or working in the following given places:
Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Paulding county, and Rockdale cities
- Current, former, or retired member of the associations
- Any active, full-time Delta Air Lines, Inc. employee who is a non US citizen and currently living in either the Bahamas, Canada, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Island
- One who have blood relation, marriage, or are being adopted with the current member (except the ones who have been expelled from the Credit Union).For example, if your spouse becomes a member, all of your spouse’s eligible relatives could also get the membership of the Delta community Credit Union
- Immediate family members spouses or domestic partner, grandchildren, parents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, children, cousins, grandparents, step relatives and In-Laws
- Active, full-time Delta Air Lines, Inc. employee who is a non-US and is currently living in foreign countries are also eligible
- Foreign membership is valid till the employee only and is limited to the Savings Account. Family members of non-US citizen are not eligible for the Credit Union membership
